I am writing this letter regarding the excellent working relationship I have had with Marilyn Forton. Her personality, integrity and enthusiasm towards her work are absolutely fantastic!

I had previously listed my property with another well known local realtor. After 6 months of very few showings, many hassles, being forced into lowering my asking price, and then not having that realtor step foot in my home since it was listed, I was fed up.

My listing had expired and Marilyn was recommended to me with one warning ... be prepared for her to sell it within 30 days. All I could think was right, sure, it hasn't sold in 6 months. Well, let me tell you, Marilyn came in , told me I did not need to make the changes previously suggested by the other realtor, raised the price back up and away we went. She always gave me 24 hours notice for a showing and called me the next day with feedback. Well, exactly 30 days from signing the listing agreement I was approving a full price offer.

She is wonderful! I would, and have been, recommending her to everyone.

Sincerely,

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to recommend David Medendorp as your realtor. Dave sold me my first home when I was 21 years old. Now, at 35, I have used Dave to represent me or advise me in the purchase of two homes on Mona Lake, one on Lake Michigan, a strip mall, three car lots and investment homes.

I like getting advice from Dave because he understands and knows the Muskegon Market, financing options, and tax implications better than maybe anyone else in the market place.

If you are going to be in the Muskegon market, you want Dave on your side! If you have any questions, please call me.

Marilyn did it!

In a slow market where homes aren't moving, and homes in our selling range are selling even more slowly, Marilyn Forton got the job done. The market these days isn't designed for realtors who still expect sales to just happen on their own. Our first realtor was one of those guys: get the signature, throw out a too-high price, and wait for the buyer to magically show up on the doorstep.

After a year with him, we knew we needed somebody new. We needed somebody who understood that houses don't sell themselves anymore. I can't remember how or why we contacted Marilyn, but meeting her was a blessing. She met with us immediately, made some suggestions for making our home more sellable, and got us in contact with a staging expert. We put some time and effort into our home, talked strategy with Marilyn, and set a more reasonable price.

Seven months later, our house is sold! We always felt Marilyn was working for us, really WORKING for us. We were in constant contact, and even when nobody was looking at the house, we felt there was action happening behind the scenes.

When the right buyers did finally come along, their upper limit didn't match our bottom line. Marilyn made it work. And when a small tragedy struck and we could have lost our buyers, she kept our sale solid.

If you want a realtor who works for every penny she gets; if you want somebody who gives it to you straight and pumps you up every time you talk; and if you want your house sold, you hire Marilyn Forton.

Sincerely,

Troy and Julie Barnhardt
